Gerry Marsh finished her MA in Creative Writing at University of Kent in 2016. Twenty years prior to this, she took her degree in theatre writing at Rose Bruford College, in Sidcup.
She lives and works in London. Being the proud mum to a 14 year old daughter, she is helped in understanding teen culture, and loves writing for teens. She also writes fiction, historic fiction, nature writing and science fiction. Previous writing successes have included Finalist in the Welsh One Act Play Competition (1999), Guardian article (2012), and Finalist in One Stop Stories Valentine Competition (2014), and articles in Therapy Today magazine (2016).
Gerry Marsh is a psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice, as well as a massage therapist. She is also a firm believer in life-long learning, having taken courses in a wide variety of useless skills such as: stilt walking, playing the eukelele, legal secretary, commedia dell arte, singing, finding your inner clown (yes, with Phillipe Gaulier in Paris, and yes, I did find it), EFT, hot stone therapy, and a building your own website course (not so successful).
She is currently being wisely held back by her family from flying to the foothills of the Himalayas to study with yogi’s, as well as toying with fundraising in Rwanda and meeting Amazonian shamans.
